Erin Hall is available for hire.

Booking

If you would like to book our venue please check our calendar online for the availability, and send an email to info@erinhall.co.za. Be sure to include the date, time, and type of event you’re planning, along with your contact details. Once we receive your request, we’ll send you a booking form to complete. Please note that the payment of a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to fully confirm any booking.

Facilities

  • Erin Hall is a beautiful historic venue, in a peaceful setting.
  • The hall is 19 m long and 7.6m wide with a total area of 146m square. The slightly raised stage has an area of 33 square meters.
  • The hall seats 100 people with tables or 145 people in cinema seating style. 10 trestle tables, flip chart, lectum, podium, 50 Soft seats and 85 plastic chairs are available for use.
  • A kitchenette, situated in the back of the hall, has a min bar fridge, microwave, urn, and water filter.
  • There is a high-quality sound system, Wi-Fi, data, and a video projector and backup power system installed.
  • The hall has yellowwood floors throughout and a low stage.
  • The stage has a baby grand concert Yamaha piano

Erin Hall Hire Costs for 2026

  • The hall is rented at an hourly rate of R500
  • R3000 for 5hrs and R6500 for a full day that is (6-8hrs) slot from any time you choose for all social events, workshops, trainings, the cost comes with tables and chairs, a Flip chart, and a kitchen area equipped with Urn, a fridge, a microwave, and a cooler.
  • A penalty of R800 if you found washing dishes on site
  • R400 for Audio, Visual, Lighting ( AVL) and Wi-Fi
  • R200 for AVP technical support.
  • R150/day for storage
  • R500 for hire and use of the Yamaha piano

 

  • An NPO hourly rate of R400 and R4500 for a 6-8hrs slot
  • An optional charge of R160 for assistance of bringing in and out  of chairs & tables from the storeroom
  • An optional charge of R70/hr/security person for assistance with car guarding.

Parking

  • Parking is available for approximately 15 cars on Erin Road, on the opposite side of the road from the hall.
  • Plentiful parking can also be found at a 2-minute walk up the road (away from Belmont Road) in an open parking ground.
  • Care must be taken not to block the driveway of residents on Erin Road.

Security

  • Erin Road is a quiet road with a certain amount of traffic. you’re are advised not to leave valuables in your cars. Cars parking in public space needs security to look after
  • Please inform us in advance if you require the security services and it will be arranged. Payment of the security person is the responsibility of the person hiring the hall and the rate is R70 per hour per guard.
  • We advise customers not to pay car guards on the street but if wishing to tip the car guards then use the Tip box in the Hall. Paying car guards on the street has created problems with ‘pop-up’ car guards, not appointed by Erin Hall.

Notes

  • Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Music is only permitted inside the hall at a volume that will not cause disturbance to surround residents. Please bear in mind that this is a residential area.
  • The hall is available for wedding receptions, baby showers, and parties with minimal noise, music, and wine serving, with no hard liquor. And we’re not a suitable venue for kiddies’ events.
  • Clearing up arrangements are to be made by the customer. The hall must be left in the condition in which it was found.
